Why do we decide to explore mountains, trails and the wilderness? Perhaps because “we can never have enough of nature” as Henry David Thoreau once described. The Ingenuous Choice features mountain runner Anton Krupicka exploring the wilderness of the mountains, racing 100 miles and reflecting on what makes mountain running essential to him.

Whenever I used to go to Starbucks (2-4 times a week on average) I’d wait in line, end up late or almost late for class, and get the same thing each time: a tall Americano with cream and sugar. My favorite. I figured I’d rely on them for my espresso needs until I could afford my own machine, but now I can make my own damn Americano whenever I want for like ten cents a cup instead of $2 per. Life is improving.
(Shout out to my brother for giving me the espresso machine, and to my girlfriend for not dumping me while I’m in the clutches of a caffeinated frenzy)
